IF YOU DON'T KNOW ME BY NOW
要是問我最喜歡哪一首西洋流行歌曲(不包括pop rock或metal ballad的...)
我一定會回答這一首..."IF YOU DON'T KNOW ME BY NOW"...
一首3分半的歌而已...當初...是因為Simply Red在1989年的Billboard全年排行榜看到這首歌...
它是美國全年度單曲第二名...(當然拿過好幾週的No.1)
全年度第一名好像是Chicago的"Look Away"還是什麼???...
忘記了...那時真的連聽都沒有聽過 就跑去買他們的這張專輯"A new flame"(新歡)
還記得買了聽了第一首歌時很失望...
因為之前沒有常常聽靈魂樂/Jazz...剛聽還真是不習慣
快轉到了B-side的第四首...就是"If you..."這一首...
沒想到...才聽一次...突然覺得好好聽...好有感情...
那種好聽到骨頭裡面的感覺真是...難以形容...
主唱Mick Hucknall長不齊的牙齒能唱出這麼濃的歌...
加上團員們舒服的合音...真的只有棒字可以描述...
"If you..."這首歌是一首翻唱歌曲...我沒聽過原曲...
但是我想Simply Red一定唱的比較好聽...
Simply Red現在的成員大概有超過15人吧...
各個都是頂尖的jazz musician...
在當初推出首張專輯時就因為歌詞富有深奧的哲理
而且Mick也是勞工階級出身,歌詞的意境想必不難理解...
專輯已經發行了大概5.6張了...
不過我並沒有對他們有那麼濃厚的興趣...
喜歡只是因為"If you don't know me by now"...
畢竟後來誤入歧途改聽metal...但是我相信我會走回正軌的 呵呵...
記得專輯"Stars"推出的時候也是造成轟動..."Stars"也是一首很動聽的歌...
去年在飛碟的一堆精選系列的特價活動 買到了249的精選輯...
好險我晚了一步買...沒有買到359的...ccc
用CD來聽這首歌...真的是天籟...希望大家都能分享到這首歌...
我一定要在PUB唱到這首歌!!!
By the way,Mick的老婆好像是Lethal Weapon II裡面慘遭淹死的女主角...
真是被Mick撈到了...娶到了大美女...:p
