Joni Mitchell - Both Sides, Now
如果要選所謂的『聖誕節溫馨家庭喜劇片』 最愛不釋手的電影,
『Love Actually』(愛是您, 愛是我) 是我的標準答案
除了幽默與貼切的角色定位, 與對於"Love"的定義解釋之外
整部電影相當濃厚的音樂元素也是這電影相當吸引我的主因
也因此, DVD和原聲帶也一直都在我的DVD Player與iPod中佔有一席之地
除了改編『Wet Wet Wet』的『Love Is All Around』縱橫全片
與小男孩Sam為了把妹向Beatles鼓手:
Ringo Starr效法『All You Need Is Love』
或是最令人感動Mark的手舉牌
『To me, You're Perfect』的橋段的唱詩班配樂
都讓每個橋段增添了許多感傷與甜美
當然還有首相Hugh Grant在官邸跳舞的經典橋段
(這首『Jump』還是1984年奧運收錄的歌曲之一)
但是最貼切的歌曲, 首推Emma Thompson收到禮物的背景配樂
當由驚喜轉變為悲傷的那一煞那
必須強忍淚水而故作歡笑的戲劇張力
也就是這張Joni Mitchell的經典CD:『Both Sides, Now』
躲在房間裡面聽著歌詞裡
『I really don't know life at all』的諷刺與椎心
看著CD封面裡Joni抽菸的自畫像與丈夫送禮時說的那句話:
『這張CD, 是教你如何去愛』那種難過與辛酸
Emma深厚的演技與Joni苦情歌喉的詮釋
讓這個橋段變成經典中的經典
也因此除了原聲帶之外,令我更有衝動買了這張CD
第一次看到Digipak精裝版沒有下手令我後悔不已
也只能買到代理版的一般版, 但是好專輯就是好專輯
整張專輯透過交響樂的襯底
讓Joni那具有悽涼特質的音色展現無疑
身兼畫家與歌手身分的鬼才Joni Mitchell
在官方網站的自傳裡面寫著:
『I'm a painter first, and a musician second...』
也有許多繪畫相關的作品
令人著迷的好歌喉, 豐盛的詞曲創作力
都想令人不斷的去蒐集Joni的所有作品
雖說Both Sides, Now原先是寫給Judy Collins來詮釋
並且也獲得相當的好評與多人的翻唱
但與Judy Collins原唱的民謠版本相比
Joni在2000年的同名專輯中重新改編的版本(電影中的版本)
才真的會令人感動 強烈推薦整張專輯
