Sonata Arctica - Replica
又是一個來自芬蘭的Melodic / Power Metal樂團
在金屬界這個年輕樂團的成就已經是無庸置疑
將芬蘭樂團特有的速度旋律與新古典優美又帶到另一高峰
至於樂團的豐功偉業 在各樂評網站與論壇都有很正面的評價
也不用多贅述 但值得一提的是
1999年, 在樂團成員平均只有二十出頭的時候
推出了首張專輯『Ecliptica』(月蝕) , 並有極高評價
隨後幾乎每年都有發行專輯或是演唱會紀錄
今年(2007)亦剛推出新專輯『Unia』
每張的評價都有一定的水準以上
也算是"只要發片就會去買"的這種樂團之一
雖然樂團是以速度為主導走向
但抒情歌曲的拔辣味深得我心
不管是『Letter To Dana』, 『Last Drop Falls』,『Cravenimage』
至今Sonata Arctica所有歌曲中
個人最偏愛的還是首張專輯的這首『Replica』
除了哀愁的旋律之外, 主要還是因為有很不錯的歌詞
『Nothing's what it seems to be,
I'm a replica, I'm a replica
Empty shell inside of me
I'm not myself, I'm a replica of me...』

主唱Tony Kakko高亢的聲音收放自如
不但有力道, 也有情感
更沒有歐洲高音男主唱常有飆過頭導致像gay vocal的毛病
另外也有不錯的創作能力 (Replica就是他的作品)

高速的吉他與鍵盤對飆十分精采
Victoria's Secret / Letter to Dana 組曲 (Acoustic Live in Japan)
今年的新專輯也相當耐聽
這種新古典的曲風應該還會持續發威下去
只是該有點新的變化才不會有膩的感覺
不然到最後也都只剩下幾個大團會有想要聽的動作而已
Sonata Arctica應該還會發光發熱好一陣子
