80年代末期 愛爾蘭傳奇歌手Sinead O'Connor
著名招牌大光頭與叛逆的形象比她所有歌曲還要出鋒頭
或許是愛爾蘭民族性的影響 讓她火爆和突出作風
在仍稱開放的80年代也飽受抨擊
但令人咋舌的談吐並不會影響她真正追求的音樂原則
往往專輯的推出 都是媒體界爭相追逐的焦點

但其實對我而言 Sinead的歌並不是那麼令我深愛
印象最深的只有這首走紅全球的冠軍單曲『Nothing Compares 2 U』
這首歌原是音樂鬼才Prince所寫 但是未曾在Prince的正式專輯出現過
Sinead透過她特殊的嗓音 將歌詞中逝母之痛 令人鼻酸的唱出
我稱Sinead的聲音為『感性的嘶吼』 想必聽過的人一定會有相同的感受

1990年Billboard奪冠數週的單曲 MV也令人耳目一新
五官相當漂亮的Sinead, 卻突兀的以光頭造型面對世人
MV從頭到尾只有一顆美麗的光頭
大大的眼睛 深黑色高領 只露出光頭與脖子
動容的嗓音 激昂的歌詞 一首歌 就夠了

這首歌是在國二時發行的
想想真的是80年代的歌曲比較動人
那時候的Martika, Wilson Phillips, NKOTB,..偶像團體正剛重新起飛
雖然流行 但是卻比現在一窩瘋繞舌和電子音樂單純的多
長的帥 生的俏 歌聲也不差 比起現在有礙觀瞻和震耳欲聾好的多了

母親節要到了 聽到這首歌雖然鼻酸
卻更令人深省親情的可貴
